Walk Like an Egyptian

So every time I walk down the hall now, I'm singing the Bangles' song.  We have been talking about the ancient Egyptian culture for some time now.  We started with the book The Egypt Game by Zilpha Keatley Snyder.  We have done some reading and other research.  The kids always enjoy creating a personalized sarchophagus for themselves.  Here is what Sam and Kennadee had to say about the project:

Our class did sarcophagi for social studies. and we had to trace each other. Then had to make our faces and make our arms and put two items that describe ourselves in our hands for example if you were a cowboy you would put a rope in one and a branding iron in the other.
We even got to do our names in hieroglyphics on the sarcophagus and colored the sarcophagus.
Some did shoes, and giant lips, and everything they like. It was great!
