On Thursday, September 8, the Student Council asked all of the staff and students to dress in red, white, and blue to honor those who died on September 11, 2001. Most of the kids in our class were babies when the attacks happened, and some weren't even born yet. We talked about the attacks in class and did some writing on what the day meant to each of us.
Here is Jace's take on the day:
On Sep. 8 2011 Lund School had a red, white, and blue day. To represent 9/11
when two planes had crashed in to the World Trade Center. The planes were
highjacked to crash into the Twin Towers. Over 2,749 people died ,and about
5 just wounded. And that is why we had red, white, and blue day.
